Kotahitanga is a Māori concept meaning oneness, unity and togetherness. It emphasises collective action, solidarity, and shared purpose to achieve common goals.

Designed by former Warrior #151 and Kiwi international Lewi Brown, the jersey carries a deeply personal connection. Born and raised in Christchurch and a product of the Riccarton Knights, Brown understands the importance of regional identity and what the Warriors mean to communities across the country. Having represented both the Warriors and New Zealand on the international stage, his design reflects not only the pride of the Warriors, but Aotearoa as a whole.

The Kotahitanga Jersey is a celebration of the special place held by the Warriors in the hearts and minds of fans NZ wide. The design is an updated interpretation of the jersey first worn by the Warriors in 2001 upon changing their name from ‘Auckland’ to ‘New Zealand’ Warriors. It represents the welcoming nature of the Club, highlighting that the Warriors club is for all of New Zealand and not just Auckland.

Colours for this interpretation have been updated to include more red and black, resulting in a pallet which not only honours the history of the Warriors, but kudos to the colours of Canterbury and Christchurch. Finished with flags at the upper back, to reflect the traditional colours of each New Zealand region to again portray the value which is Kotahitanga.
