Kotahitanga Jersey 2026

New Zealand Warriors x Dynasty x Lewis Brown

Designed by former Warrior #151 and Kiwi international Lewis Brown, the Kotahitanga Jersey carries a deeply personal connection to both the club and the communities it represents. Born and raised in Christchurch and developed through the Riccarton Knights club, Brown understands the pride regional communities across New Zealand have always had in the Warriors. His vision for the collection was to create a jersey that honoured not only the club’s history, but the people and places that have supported it throughout generations. The inclusion of Canterbury and Christchurch colours reflects Brown’s roots, while the regional flags symbolise the meaning of Kotahitanga.

The Idea Behind the Collection

Kotahitanga. Meaning oneness, unity and togetherness, it is a Māori value that speaks to collective action, solidarity, and shared purpose toward a common goal.

The Kotahitanga Jersey is a celebration of the special place held by the Warriors in the hearts and minds of fans NZ and world wide. The design is an updated interpretation of the jersey first worn by the Warriors in 2001 upon changing their name from ‘Auckland’ to ‘New Zealand Warriors’ and represents the welcoming nature of the Club - it emphasises that the Warriors club is for all of New Zealand and not just Auckland.

Colours for this interpretation have been updated to include more red and black, resulting in a pallet which not only honours the history of the Warriors but that of Canterbury and Christchurch also. The jersey is finished with coloured flags at the upper back, designed to reflect the traditional colours of each region in New Zealand. The Jersey also has a special feature on the collar, a refurbished Warriors logo, representing the old golden NRL logo that used to be in the same place.

The Design

The Kotahitanga Jersey leads the range, a throwback collar, gold tiki, embroidered logos, drop hem and arm gusset, built from lightweight 2-way stretch 100% recycled polyester pique at 225gsm. It performs as well as it looks, and it looks like a jersey with a story.

The Kotahitanga Training Shorts carry the same DNA. Same palette, sublimated side panels and a players fit. 100% recycled polyester with moisture wicking at 220gsm. Built for the training paddock, not just the stands.

One Club. All of New Zealand.

The Kotahitanga Collection is not just a product range. It is a reminder of what this club stands for and who it belongs to. Warriors fans who remember 2001 and what it meant. Newer fans connecting with a history that stretches the length of the country or even jersey collectors who understand that pieces built with this kind of intent don't come around often.
